Learn More About Seeds and Seed Saving
Mel Sylvestre from UBC Farm will be at the event hosting info sessions where people can ask their seed saving questions. These sessions will be at 10:15, 11:00, 12:00 and 12:45.
For those of you unfamiliar with seed bombs, they are a little ball made up of a combination of compost, clay and seeds. The seed bomb can be tossed into barren or sparsely covered areas to help promote the growth of new plants.
The event takes place on Saturday March 7th from 10 am -1 pm at the Thompson Community Centre (5151 Granville Avenue). The event tables will be set up in the Centre’s Banquet room.
So come on down and get a start on the growing season!
