The Veggie Garden from the Ground Up: Building Healthy Soil

Understanding how to build and protect your soil is a key gardening skill. Learn about the importance of nutrient rich soil to increase the health and nutrient content of your veggies.

Unless otherwise indicated, all workshops will be led by Susan Lee Hem, who will share the knowledge gained through her work as The Sharing Farm Society’s greenhouse manager, as a founding member of Richmond Urban Farmers, as the owner of Small Space Gardening and Design, as well as from her experience of growing food on her own townhouse balcony.
